One of my business partners, Justin Lee, has organized an amazing conference coming up on November 15th called Changing the World (www.changingtheworld.ca). Changing the World is akin to the "TED for Young People". For those of you who are not familiar with TED (www.ted.com), which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, it is an annual conference that brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers.
The Changing the World conference is about inspiring youth to innovate and better our world. An incredible list of great achievers has been invited to speak including Nobel Peace Prize Winner Eric Chivian, Star Designer Karim Rashid and top executives at Facebook and Microsoft. Incidentally, I have also been invited to speak about mentorship and to introduce ProspectLinker to the student community. It's an incredible honor to be speaking among these inspiring individuals (www.changingtheworld.ca/speakers).
As I've written a few times in the past on my blog, I am extremely passionate about mentorship. If it wasn't for key individuals that God put in my life to support and guide me along the way, I wouldn't be where I am today. I believe every person should have a mentor or have access to a network of individuals who can aid them to achieve their personal and professional goals.
